Changes
Squeeze will now accept folders in volumes other than the main one, thus becoming more useful for users whose setup relies on multiple partitions. Note, however, that folders in removable media will still be ignored, in order to avoid compatibility issues when those volumes are attached to other operating systems.
Minor UI improvements.
Files whose metadata attributes cannot be exactly replicated are now ignored. Previous versions of Squeeze would attempt to replicate all metadata attributes after compression; however, this process coud fail in some situations resulting in files with updated timestamps or reset ownership. Although this is not an issue for most users, Squeeze will now skip files whose metadata cannot be matched, in order to provide a better fidelity for users whose workflows demand exact metadata.
Fixed bug that caused analysis not to always proceed when adding folders whose path contains certain non-ASCII characters.
Fixed bug that prevented Squeeze from analyzing or compressing any files, due to a rare incompatibility found in a very small number of systems. Squeeze would not use resources in this situation – it simply stopped because a mismatch was detected in the name of the folders that had been added to the interface.
Fixed bug that caused Squeeze to finish compression early, in rare situations. Users that see progress stall may turn Squeeze Off and back On again to force Squeeze to analyze folders again.
